“I hate cameras. They’re just so much more sure than I am about everything.” -John Steinbeck.
Nothing captures the essence of an instant like a photograph. It’s the truest form of art, literally, a exact replica of life as it was at 1/100th of a second. It’s every emotion, every color, every detail. It’s hard to run away from. It’s truth.
For me, photography is a hobby. An amateurish, bastardization of a hobby, one where I spit in the face of true skill by relying on computers and high-class cameras to take good pictures for me.
However, it’s a hobby all the same, and no one can learn without making some mistakes. It just so happens that, like many photobloggers before me, I’m showing my mistakes to the world.
I sincerely hope you enjoy this blog. There’s not a lot of skill yet, but there’s a whole ton of desire and enthusiasm. I’m learning. And without a doubt, the camera is so much more sure of what’s going on in the world than I am.
Welcome to Much More Sure.
