South Dakota Festival of Books
September 30, 2008
This past weekend was the South Dakota Festival of Books. I didn’t get a lot of pictures, but I got a few. In order, this is the Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me set (with George McGovern as the “Not My Job” guest), Carl Kasell from Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, Pete Dexter, and a sculpture from outside the Holiday Inn City Centre. The rest of this poorly taken, mainly 1600 ISO set is here.
Just Another Playdate

Just another playdate. The rest of this series can be found here.
Sertoma Park
September 28, 2008
For a few years, Sertoma Park has been THE place to go for playground equipment. As in, there are at least five sets of equipment, all circling a large monument-sized gazebo. So, naturally, we found the most toddler friendly one and let Sierra loose. The rest of this series (along with pictures from the Outdoor Campus) are here.
Outdoor Campus
September 26, 2008
We rambled around the Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls this past weekend. It was fun, but Sierra was more excited for the playground equipment later on. The rest of this series is here.
Baedeker’s Great Britain
September 25, 2008
This was my wedding gift from Kerrie - a 1910 edition of Baedeker’s Great Britain. As a fan of travel literature, maps and Great Britain in general, it was cool beyond words. It still is - the most valuable and most beloved book in our collection.

Volkswagen Jetta
September 23, 2008
Even though it’s not the most fuel-efficient car, or the best handling car, or even an affordable car, I love our Volkswagen Jetta.
Flowers
September 22, 2008
Don’t ask me what the hell’s going on here. I got bored at lunch the other day and started snapping pictures of flowers. Flowers! What’s next? Sunsets? Babies? PUPPIES??? Oh. Looks I’ve already got a puppy, too. Damn.
The rest of this sickening set is here.
Washington Post
September 21, 2008
Finally - all of the vacation shots have been post-produced and put up on the site. Now I can get back to missing vacation, especially the early morning ritual of coffee and the Washington Post.
