The Line Between Seasons

October 6, 2008

vines on fence leaf mums leaves

Like the space between light and dark, the few weeks of early fall that we experience in Sioux Falls shows the razor thin barrier between life and death. The blooming of mums is balanced by the falling of leaves, producing colors at both ends of the spectrum – new growth and old disposal. Of course, I thought of that just now – the contrast of bright green grass and old brown leaves – and not at the time I shot these. I just wanted to take some pictures over lunch break. More pictures of plants and stuff are here.

Nice composition and series – showing both the autumn colors and the last rest of summer….
    Great colors, sharpness and DOF.
    Well done!
