Jackson, Wyoming
June 26, 2010
From the top: the cowboy on top of the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, the Teton Theater, a buffalo head at the Wort Hotel, the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, the elk antler arches at Jackson’s town square. The rest of this set is here.
The Snake River
June 25, 2010
I spent every summer for years kicking around Jackson Hole – enough that I never understood what the big deal was. So I was excited to head into Jackson while we were in Idaho visiting Grandma Boyer. We made a pit stop at an extremely low Snake River. (Two days later, after a week of rain and melting snow, the river was back to over, completely taking over the spots where these pictures were taken.)
School Pictures
June 25, 2010
If you sit around long enough, the school pictures are bound to come out. Here are all of the Boyer grandkids, and some of the kids, and some of the parents, and one great picture of Grandma Boyer herself.
Sierra and Watermelon
June 24, 2010
We spent a lot of time at my Grandma’s house. We ate a lot of melon.
The Cemetery, the Reunion, the Memorial Day Celebration
June 24, 2010
My mother’s side of the family claims a sizable chunk of northwestern Wyoming and southeastern Idaho history, thanks to the legend of trailblazing Nick Wilson. So Memorial Day becomes a big family reunion – a day at the cemetery, a day with the Wilson clan, etc. The rest of the reunion set is here.
On the Way to Idaho
June 23, 2010
It’s been two and a half weeks and it’s time to get the vacation pictures out. We headed to Idaho – where my grandmother lives, close to the valley my family helped settle – and had a blast. Six people, one minivan, nearly 800 pictures to wade through. The rest of the “getting there” set is here.
From the top: the Teton mountains, treelines along Togwotee pass, Isaac sleeping through Wind River Canyon, a standard view out of the window in central Wyoming.

Northern Tallgrass Prairie
May 27, 2010
On our way through Luverne we decided to jut north and visit the Northern Tallgrass Prairie. This is proof.
Docks and docks and docks
May 26, 2010
My friend Ryan had me wander around and take pictures of docks a few weekends back. The result: here. And if you want to see more from this set, you know where to go.
